Santiago Díaz

Senior Manager, Data & Analytics · EY

My name is Santiago Díaz. I'm originally from Dallas and was raised in Mexico, which shaped how I think about culture, work, and people. I'm a husband and the proud father of two daughters, who are the center of my life. Outside of work, I enjoy reading and cycling, especially when it helps me clear my head and think things through.

Professional Background

Professionally, I'm a data and analytics leader with deep experience in data strategy, master data management, governance, and modern data platforms. I focus on helping organizations design practical, scalable data foundations that actually support the business — not just technology for technology's sake.

Over 10 years at EY, I've progressed from hands-on technical delivery to enterprise program leadership — owning architecture, governance, and executive engagement across utilities, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, technology, automotive, oil and gas, healthcare, and public sector.

AI Interest & Side Projects

I have a strong professional and personal interest in AI — particularly how high-quality, well-governed enterprise data enables scalable AI and agentic AI systems. I approach AI from a data-first and governance-first perspective: effective AI systems depend on trusted data, clear ownership, and transparent decision logic.

Outside of client work, I experiment with LangChain, LangGraph, RAG patterns, agentic loops, and data tooling — building POCs to understand how these technologies work in practice and what it takes to operationalize them responsibly.

Personal

Based in Broomfield, Colorado. Originally from Dallas, raised in Mexico. Husband, father of two daughters. I enjoy reading and cycling — both tend to help me think through complex problems more clearly than staring at a screen.

I'm bilingual in Spanish and English, with basic German. My background spans Industrial Engineering (UDLAP) and a Master's in Management and Systems from NYU, where I graduated with distinction.
